This Olds was originally purchased by a wealthy rancher in eastern Colorado. Due to a divorce, he retained the car as a momento of the marriage and drove it on his ranch just enough to keep the mechanical components in excellent condition. I purchased the car in 1992 from the estate. The car had 4,500 DOCUMENTED miles at the time. The notarized certificate of authenticity will accompany the car. I have driven the car only occasionally during the last 14 years. It has won numerous awards at car shows in California and is frequently mentioned as one of the finest unrestored original 1950's cars in existence.

The original interior shows no sign of wear. The leather is flawless and supple, the metallic fabric is like new. Perfect carpet. All rubber seals are uncracked and also like new.
The original mileage is fully documented. When I bought the car in 1992, it had only 4,500 miles.
From the late 1950's through the early 1960's, deluxe Oldsmobiles had the luxurious Star-Lite headliner. This foam material was not particularly durable, and few if any 1959 Oldsmobiles still have the original Star-Lite headliner. This Ninety Eight may be the ONLY '59 in existence with a Star-Lite headliner in tact. No reproductions are available - this headliner is priceless!
The engine compartment has been detailed and is 100 point show quality. Minor mechanical freshening was done to ensure roadworthiness. The "Rocket" V8 is POWERFUL and SMOOTH! The Hydramatic transmission still has the original CLEAR whale oil-based fluid installed at the factory! The trunk is virtually new. The original spare has never been used and has the factory wheel cover clips. The trim panel above the rear bumper is like new - no scratches or dings. Find another '59 Ninety Eight with a perfect one like this - probably not.
