Another example of perfection in the art of chrome plating. My plater made room in his schedule for this Buick project while working on million dollar cars for the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours. A restoration of the quality of this Limited would cost in excess of $100,000 and many of the new-old-stock parts I used to freshen this 25,000 original mile car are no longer available at any price! The dazzling jeweled tail fins showcase a masterful (and liberal) use of chrome. The louvered tail lamps are exclusive to the Limited. The massive bumper ends contain nacelles for the backup lamps. Many B-58 Buick design cues were inspired by early jet aircraft which were just beginning to revolutionize air travel. The "B-58" monicker came from the U.S. Air Force's new B-58 jet bomber.
