This passenger side rear 3/4 view of the Limited is both intoxicating and disappointing. Buick's Fisher Body sheetmetal stampings were typical of the era. Body panel fit was not always precise, and this minor annoyance is visible in the passenger door which does not cleanly align to the quarter panel. We spared no effort to fit this door and still maintain proper glass and front fender alignment. This is as good as we could get it, and exhibits the same flaw that I have seen on most other 1958 large body Buicks. Obviously today's cars are up to much higher standards of fit and finish. Fortunately, all other sheetmetal fits nicely and the car is so gorgeous and flashy that this is a minor annoyance. This B-58 Limited requires no other "excuses."
